Vintage Home Decor for Fall
A bit of cooler weather a few weeks ago really put us in the mood for fall around here. In Indiana, the seasons seem to flip back and forth a few times before they actually stick. So, it's been a week of 80 degrees, then a week of mid-60s and now we are back up to 80s again. DIY Farmhouse Beadboard Kitchen Backsplash
This project is by far my most favorite thing we did to our kitchen. We love using bead board (or wainscoting - whatever you like to call it) around the house. We have old plaster walls that aren't in the best condition. Bead board is an easy and affordable update for our walls without the mess and cost of fixing the plaster. DIY Painted Bedside Tables
We got a new bed! (We are sharing more details about that here...) So, we took this opportunity to spruce up our bedroom a bit. DIY Kitchen Island Makeover (part 2)
The kitchen island (well, it is really more of a peninsula) is a key space in our kitchen. Whomever remodeled our kitchen in the 80s likely put this island in. It's where my kiddos eat breakfast every day. Sometimes homework happens here too. It's the most open piece of countertop for baking, prepping, gathering, eating, etc. And it was ugly.
