My Mini Holiday Home Tour

Compared to all the beautiful holiday home tours popping up everywhere right now, this is just a very TINY glimpse inside my home and holiday decor. Don’t expect any faux-wrapped presents under my tree (that would be pure torture for my kids) or a dining room with beautiful place settings adorning the table (that would be pure torture for me).IMG_5111_crop

2014 also didn’t lend itself to letting me start any of my interior painting projects so it’s on my resolution list for 2015… along with many other projects around the house. Anyone else wondering where the year has gone?!?!

What you will find in this little home tour is a collection of vintage vignettes mixed with new and old holiday decor… in an old home that needs repainted with a partially finished kitchen renovation. It is, however, the most picked up my house will look all season. So, there’s that. 🙂

Since our friends and family always enter via the back door, that’s where we will start. Come on in.

The Kitchen

Cheers to the little eat-in side that we have finished!

The gum-ball machine was filled with holiday skittles just a day ago… then two little boys discovered the change jar. We LOVE candy around here!

This little holiday accessory was too cute not to include.

Front Door

To be honest, I ran out of steam when it came to decorating my front porch this year… but I did manage to change the vinyl art from my ‘hello fall‘ that I created a few months ago. Hoping to get some of these window vinyl holiday messages into the Etsy shop soon.

Oh my goodness… I just love your use of color! My style is so completely opposite of yours, but I appreciate good use of color. Your tree is beautiful and love all the little vignettes too. I’m gung-ho crazy about Christmas. It’s my favorite time of year and I adore all types and styles of trees.

Hi Kristy, I just stumbled on your website and I am in LOVE! I love, love, love your decorating style! I wish I could steal you for a month and have you redo my entire house! I was looking through your Christmas tour and fell in love with your tree, is it real or artificial? If it is an artificial tree can you direct me where to purchase one? It would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much for your kind words Kelly! You made my day! My tree is artificial but I can’t remember where I got it. I remember searching online for a flocked tree with vintage bulbs, if that helps!
