FOUND: Vintage Distressed Cabinet

For me, craig’s list is like one big garage sale. And frankly, it can be a bit intimidating unless you know what you are looking for. Many times you will look and find nothing. I mean absolutely nada. But on that rare occasion where you spot a really great item and get it for a really great price, you will be hooked. Get a smart phone app so you can browse during down time or while waiting on something… or when you are bored with inspired by Pinterest.

But, I can’t take credit for this gem since my husband found it! Loving the greek revival details at the top. I’m learning a lot, by the way, from Bronson Pinchot on this subject. Surprised by how much I adore him and his new show. [I admit, my sister and I were Balki Bartokomous fans back in the day]

I really don’t know where I’m going to put this enormous cabinet. We have to cut the bottom off since it was a built-in at one time. Then I plan to revive the distressed paint (aka add a fresh coat of paint and apply chippy/distressed techniques). The inside will get a coat of something bright – color dependent on where this ends up.

This hardware is my favorite. The original beadboard is in great shape.

I’m so jealous. I love it. I must start searching Craigslist more often.
