Why Stitch Fix Is Really Worth It

Why Stitch Fix Is Worth It

Signing up for a clothing subscription with a tight budget seems counterintuitive, but it can really boost your wardrobe AND help you stay on budget. My closet is full of clothes. Yet I never have anything to wear. And, my clothing budget is outta control. Sound familiar? … [Read more...] about Why Stitch Fix Is Really Worth It

Farmhouse Flower Box: flea market flip

DIY Farmhouse Flower Box and Fall Decor Ideas

Some years the fall season creeps up on me like a snake in the grass. Not this year. Maybe it's because we recently painted our living room - after like 12+ years. And it feels like having a blank canvas to work with. I really do love fall so... as soon as the kids were back in school, I started pulling out pumpkins and fall decor. Hello fall. This year, I am jumping in with both feet. Even if our leaves are still a bit green. I'm so happy to be collaborating with Michaels and DecoArt … [Read more...] about Farmhouse Flower Box: flea market flip

5 Clever Farmhouse Kitchen Storage Ideas

5 Clever Farmhouse Kitchen Storage Ideas by Robb Restyle

No matter how large your kitchen is, there is never enough space - am I right?!? When we were planning our farmhouse kitchen renovation and I decided I wanted to have open shelves instead of upper wall cabinets, my husband cringed. He saw what was in our existing cabinets and couldn't imagine having all that on a shelf for everyone to see. But I was determined. And I already bought the shelves. So, it was a good as done. It did require us to be more creative with our storage (and get rid of … [Read more...] about 5 Clever Farmhouse Kitchen Storage Ideas

DIY Kitchen Island Makeover (part 2)

The kitchen island (well, it is really more of a peninsula) is a key space in our kitchen. Whomever remodeled our kitchen in the 80s likely put this island in. It's where my kiddos eat breakfast every day. Sometimes homework happens here too. It's the most open piece of countertop for baking, prepping, gathering, eating, etc. And it was ugly. So here's the story on how we made it prettier and managed to repurpose an old architectural corbel to boot. It isn't big. It fits just in … [Read more...] about DIY Kitchen Island Makeover (part 2)

DIY Kitchen Corner Makeover (part 1)

We have been remodeling our kitchen for the last five-ish years. And we are finally (well, almost) done! We. Are. So. Close. We can taste it! I think my mom said it best. If your marriage can survive a kitchen renovation, then you'll enjoy a long and fruitful life together... So I guess Corey and I are in this old house (I mean marriage) forever! XOXO We bought this house knowing that the kitchen needed updated so we did a few quick fixes when we first moved in and then our family … [Read more...] about DIY Kitchen Corner Makeover (part 1)

Numbers, numbers, painted numbers.

Okay, so you could say I'm a bit obsessed with numbers right now. I'm seeing all kinds of numbered items on Pinterest, of course. It's a really easy way to update something that's already painted.  I think it adds a bit of vintage spirit to your home - and in my case, both indoors and out! My mom recently purchased a Silhouette Cameo machine for me which makes it super easy to design a cool number stencil in any font I choose. I absolutely love everything about typography design and this sort … [Read more...] about Numbers, numbers, painted numbers.
