It’s Friday and that means another installment of what’s on tap! Summer has officially started at our house. But things haven’t slowed down. Not one tiny bit. And weeks that begin with holiday always feel like the longest! How does that happen?

Family vacation countdown.
We are joining our family for a lakeside vacation in Wisconsin in a few weeks and we cannot wait. We’ve been going to Wisconsin since I was a kid and it’s one of our favorite vacation spots. My kids have also grown to adore lake life in Wisconsin. Sharing a cabin with our extended families is totally crazy and unforgettable, but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. Our vacation at the lake is full of good times and laughter, good ol’ Wisconsin supper clubs, and my favorite New Glarus beer.
Oh, and I’m kinda thinking about getting some floaty pants for the trip.
Things on my to-do list.
I have to start meal planning again. We’ve been in a really bad trend of eating out, grabbing junk food on the go and just snacking around between meals. That’s what happens when things get busy and I don’t take the time to think through our meals for the week and grocery shop with a plan.
Meal planning has lots of advantages, but mostly I enjoy not having to make decisions during the week. What’s for dinner? That question can set me into a downward spiral of decisions that my brain is too tired to make after work. I recently pinned this recipe and this recipe so they will be added to the plan.
What’s on tap… literally.
There truly is nothing better than a cold brew on a warm summer evening. Let’s see… As of March, Yuengling is now available in Indiana and I’m loving the light version. Plus, it’s only 99 calories. I’m totally a craft beer girl, but I’ve been trying to cut back my beer calories and my beer budget so this has been a good option. I also love local Indiana brews and this one has a great summer flavor. Cheers to a can design with a piñada on it! Did someone say tacos?
Projects I’m working on.
Make sure you stop by the DecoArt blog to see my most recent project. I’m so excited to be a part this talented group of bloggers and shared my first project in May. I also have a Summer home tour coming up next week so stay tuned for that… remember my spring home tour?
Ok, I’ll see you next week.
